Інші вимоги | The degree programme is open to all. Students who have completed a three-year degree programme in History (L 42) at any university are automatically admitted to the programme. Those who hold a three-year degree in Literature, Philosophy, Cultural Heritage, Political Science, as well as a four-year degree under the old system in Literature, Philosophy, Cultural Heritage, Political Science, Education, Foreign Languages and Literature, or other courses, who have acquired at least 60 ECTS credits in the following scientific-disciplinary sectors, may also be admitted: – L-ANT/02 Greek History; – L-ANT/03 Roman History; – L-ANT/08 Christian and Medieval Archaeology; – L-FIL-LET/04 Latin Language and Literature; – L-FIL-LET/10 Italian Literature; – L-FIL-LET/11 Contemporary Italian Literature; – L-LIN/01 Glottology and Linguistics; – L-LIN/04 French Language and Translation; – L-LIN/12 English Language and Translation; – M-FIL/01 Theoretical Philosophy; – M-FIL/06 History of Philosophy; – M-FIL/08 History of Ancient and Medieval Philosophy; – M-GGR/01 Geography; – M-GGR/02 Economic and Political Geography; M-STO/01 Medieval History; – M-STO/02 Modern History; – M-STO/04 Contemporary History; – M-STO/05 History of Science and Technology; – M-STO-07 History of Christianity; – M-STO/08 Archival Science, bibliography and library science; – SECS-P/12 Economic history; – SPS/03 History of political institutions; – SPS/10 Urban sociology. Of these 60 credits, at least 24 must have been obtained in the following scientific-disciplinary areas: – L- ANT/02 Greek history; – L-ANT/03 Roman history; – M-STO/01 Medieval history; – M- STO/02 Modern History; – M-STO/04 Contemporary History; – M-GGR/01 Geography; The fulfilment of the curricular requirements will be verified and validated by the Programme Committee, including through interviews or supplementary tests to assess personal knowledge. The verification of the adequacy of personal preparation is considered automatically passed if the candidate’s bachelor’s degree grade is equal to or higher than 90/110. If the degree mark is lower than 90/110, enrolment is subject to passing an interview that will assess basic knowledge of medieval, modern and contemporary history. The Board will evaluate any special qualifications, also in relation to requests from foreign students, both EU and non-EU. In particular, foreign students, when applying for verification of admission requirements, are required to submit: a copy of their academic qualification; a diploma supplement, or a certificate attesting to the exams taken on the letterhead of the foreign institution; the syllabi of the exams taken. All documents must be written in Italian or English, with a certificate of conformity to the original. Students already enrolled in this or another university in a degree programme (bachelor’s or master’s degree or single-cycle master’s degree), master’s programme, PhD programme, specialisation school or AFAM course may apply for simultaneous enrolment in this degree programme. Students must submit an application to the Student Office, attaching the study plan of the course in which they are enrolled and the study plan of this degree programme, already selecting the optional courses in both study plans. The Degree Programme Committee will decide on the matter, verifying that the legal requirements are met, including that at least two-thirds of the educational activities are different, and at the same time approving the study plan submitted by the student for the entire cohort. |

Огляд
The Master’s Degree Course in Historical and Social Sciences aims to provide graduates with an in-depth knowledge of history, based on a thorough mastery of the tools and methodologies of historical research. Particular attention will be paid, on the one hand, to the types of documentation, their potential and forms of analysis; on the other hand, to the most significant stages of the historiographical debate, with a specific focus on recent developments.
The educational objectives include:
- in-depth knowledge of historical sources and their potential;
- full mastery of the main issues under debate in recent historiography;
- full awareness of the forms and methods of historical research, based on the relationship between the objectives to be achieved, knowledge of appropriate documentation, awareness of the historiographical context and the elements with which to initiate a process of comparison;
- ability to narrate, disseminate and communicate research results.
The course provides a broad and in-depth knowledge and skills in the fields of history from antiquity to the present day, sociology, economics and statistics, political science, law, anthropology, literature and linguistics (EU languages).
In addition to lectures, seminars and workshops, teaching activities include internships at public administration institutions, both state and local (archives, libraries, superintendence offices, etc.), companies or associations operating in the cultural heritage sector, in service management, cultural promotion, basic and technical-professional training, and the enhancement and management of territorial resources.
The course aims to train professionals to perform high-level roles in activities related to the cultural services and industry sectors and specific cultural and research institutions. The course also prepares students for teaching (classes A12, 19, 22, 54), in accordance with the procedures laid down in the regulations on the recruitment of school staff.

Career opportunities:
Master’s degree graduates who have the credits required by current legislation will be able to take the entrance exams for teacher training courses for classes A12, A19, A22 and A54.
