Altri requisiti | The course of study does not have a programmed number. Graduates of the three-year degree programs in Cultural Heritage (L-1), Humanities (L-10), History (L-42), Diagnostics for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (L-43), the single-cycle Master’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (LMR-02) and the four-year degree programs in Humanities, Cultural Heritage, of the three-year University Diploma in Cultural Heritage Worker may enter the Master’s Degree Program in Archaeology if they have accrued 51 CFU distributed as follows: Graduates from other courses of study can enter the Master’s Degree Program in Archaeology if they have accrued 69 CFU distributed as follows: The indicated requirements must be met prior to matriculation in the Course of Study and cannot in any way be acquired thereafter. Any missing CFUs may be acquired through individual courses prior to matriculation to the Course of Study. |

Panoramica
The Master’s Degree Course in Archaeology (LM-2) Interateneo between the University of Bari Aldo Moro and the University of Foggia aims at the scientific and professional training of archaeologists and curators and conservators of museums and archaeological parks able to operate independently and with specialized skills in the field of archaeological field investigations, the study of finds and museum activities with reference to the Apulian regional area and to wider and more diversified territorial contexts, with a chronological spectrum from prehistory to the modern and contemporary age. The Course combines basic training with the learning of methods and tools to develop both the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing ways in which research results are presented and disseminated and the ability to interact with other skills.
Teaching is divided into lectures, seminars, workshops, field trips and guided tours of monuments and museum institutions.

Archaeologist: professional figure involved in the study of past societies from material culture, through a process of recovery, analysis and interpretation of traces according to methodologies that allow the reconstruction of ways of life and their evolution over time.

Museum curators and conservators: scientific referents of museum heritage take care of its conservation, management and enhancement configuring themselves with the qualification of curators, conservators and directors of museums and collections, public or private, of archaeological interest.
Employment outlets: public and private museums/exhibition spaces; Associations, companies, cooperatives, foundations active in the field of museum management to offer services to public and private entities.
