Requisiti linguistici

italiano Non-eu students residing abroad who would like to enroll in a study course completely taught in Italian, have to prove their knowledge of the language through an Italian language test. Panoramica

The educational objectives of the Degree Course Class L-14 Legal Sciences for Immigration, Human Rights and Interculturality (hereinafter: Course of Study) are first and foremost those qualifying the L-14 class, in accordance with the guidelines of current legislation.

Specifically, the Course of Study aims to provide, in addition to the necessary basic and characterising legal skills, a broader cultural training and specifically pedagogical (as a basic discipline, according to D. M. 987/2016, art. 8), philosophical, literary and intercultural to meet the peculiar needs of the Ionian territory, which has always been open to multiculturalism, and in line with the declared Euro-Mediterranean vocation of the DJSGE. To this end, the Course intends to train students in the mastery of the main knowledge of the legal as well as pedagogical, philosophical, moral and literary areas with an intercultural imprint to be achieved through a balanced relationship between basic cultural training, training in the fundamentals and the most systematically relevant aspects of the main disciplines of positive law and of the pedagogical and philosophical/literary areas, in order to have a full awareness of the dynamics of law and the intercultural process.
In particular, training is provided in the areas of history-philosophy, private law, public law, criminal law and international law, as well as in the institutional, economic, comparative and community fields, and in the pedagogical, philosophical-moral and intercultural-literary fields.

Sbocchi professionali

The course of study aims to train qualified graduates for the professional figure of Intercultural Legal Operator for Immigration

The main professional functions concern:
-recognising and promoting institutional and/or private social actions to foster integration and inclusion processes;
-to correctly interpret legal issues related to migrants’ questions
-identifying possible institutional solutions to foster integration processes also for socio-educational recovery;
-activate institutional collaboration processes to promote interculturality.

The professional outlets envisaged are:
-frame position in public bodies;
-coordinator of integration and inclusion projects at CSV, social cooperatives, Italian Red Cross, NGOs;
-worker at CSV, social cooperatives, Italian Red Cross, NGOs.

The professional outlets envisaged in the long term are mainly in state and local public bodies and in the private-social sector with coordination and planning functions.
