Panoramica
The Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at the University of Bari aims to provide students with a solid foundation in the main areas of chemistry, alongside essential knowledge in mathematics, physics, and computer science. The program develops the ability to understand the properties and transformations of matter at the atomic and molecular levels. Students will be trained in the scientific method and in the use of key laboratory techniques and instrumentation, enabling them to plan and conduct experiments, collect and interpret data, and critically evaluate results. Particular attention is given to fostering awareness of environmental issues, chemical safety, and the sustainability of chemical activities. The program is designed to prepare graduates for entry into the workforce or further academic study, equipping them with the skills and responsibility needed to operate effectively in scientific and technological fields.

Graduates in Chemistry may find employment in a variety of fields, including monitoring, control, and development activities within industrial, healthcare, environmental, and territorial sectors. Additional opportunities exist in quality control, cultural heritage management, and workplace safety.
Graduates may also sit the professional licensing examination for chemists, available to first-level degree holders, and register with the Professional Order of Chemists, Section B.
