Aperçu
The specific educational objective of the Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics is to ensure that, by the end of the three-year program, graduates acquire the necessary skills to design healthy eating plans aimed at achieving and maintaining a good nutritional status. Graduates will be able to monitor the implementation of such plans and contribute to the promotion of educational initiatives and the application of food policies, in accordance with current regulations.
Graduates in Dietetics contribute to maintaining and restoring good health through the prevention and treatment of various diseases, both at the individual and population level. They also collaborate in the development and implementation of nutrition-related research projects.
The academic curriculum includes theoretical and practical instruction in basic and clinical sciences, as well as professional internships in the specific sector (MED/49). The internship takes place in clinical settings, community health services (such as maternal and child health services, home artificial nutrition, etc.), and collective catering environments (such as school canteens, nursing homes, etc.).
The clinical setting focuses on the nutritional status of groups of individuals with shared medical conditions or of hospitalized and outpatient patients. It includes activities related to specific pathologies, artificial nutrition (particularly enteral), food safety and hygiene, hospital catering, and body composition assessment.
Training activities are also provided in the field of preventive medicine, combining education and intervention strategies (e.g., nutrition education and dietary planning for socially impactful diseases such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, dyslipidemia, eating disorders, etc.).
