Resumen

Materials Science focuses on transforming natural material properties to meet technological and industrial needs. Materials scientists study and design materials by analyzing their structural, mechanical, electrical, optical, and chemical characteristics.

The Bachelor’s Program in Materials Science and Technology at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (L-Sc.Mat. class) offers an interdisciplinary education combining chemistry, physics, crystallography, biology, and strong mathematical foundations. It provides practical knowledge of innovative material development technologies.

The program prepares students for advanced studies or direct entry into a job market increasingly requiring scientific expertise and learning adaptability, even in hands-on roles.

The curriculum is structured into:
Basic scientific training
Structure and characterization of materials
Materials technologies
It also includes elective courses, internships, and a final thesis.
