Overview
The course of Physiotherapy gives knowledge and understanding in the following fields:
Preparatory physical, biological, and physiological sciences useful for understanding biological phenomena, the functioning mechanisms of organs and systems, motor and psychomotor development, and physiological phenomena.
Physiotherapy sciences is necessary for identifying the individual’s preventive and rehabilitative needs through the evaluation of clinical data in the motor, psychomotor, cognitive, and functional domains, based on the extent and significance of symptoms;Understand the underlying pathological processes that rehabilitative and/or therapeutic interventions focus on, whether in childhood, adulthood, or the elderly; develop the best therapeutic, technical, and methodological approaches for resolving patient health issues; acquire the scientific basis of functional alterations and general and specific rehabilitation methodology in various specialist fields (neurology, orthopedics and traumatology, cardiovascular, critical care, oncology, infectious diseases, pulmonology, maternal and child health, etc.); design and evaluate physiotherapy interventions using effective objective and therapeutic assessment methods and all appropriate tools for case resolution (instrumental therapies, manual, psychomotor, and occupational therapies, suggesting the possible use of orthoses, prosthetics, and aids), also in relation to the physician’s indications and prescriptions.
