Entry qualification

Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Open access course. To be admitted to this Master’s Degree Course you must be in possession of the curricular requirements and have passed the verification relating to the adequacy of the personal preparation. Please consult the Regulation of the course that you can find on the course description (scheda corso) at the following link The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.

Language requirements

Italian Non-eu students residing abroad who would like to enroll in a study course completely taught in Italian, have to prove their knowledge of the language through an Italian language test. The test will be organized by the CLA (University Language Centre), only after pre-enrollment on the Universitaly portal. For further information, please refer to the following page The following categories are excluded from this obligation: 1. students who intend to enroll in degree courses in English; 2. students in possession of an Italian language certification of level B2 or higher (such as CILS, CELI, Roma3 or PLIDA).

Other requirements

Knowledge of the English language, at least equal to B1 level (Council Europe Level or equivalent). Free access upon fulfillment of specific requirements. Graduates in bachelor like L-2, Biotechnology and L-26 Food Science, are admitted to the CdLM. For graduates in other bachelors, is mandatory the possession of knowledge and skills in: Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Plant pathology, Food science, Genetics and Plant genetics, Molecular biology and others.

Overview

The Master’s Degree Course in Biotechnology for Food Quality and Safety has the main objective of training graduates capable of critically applying the scientific method of investigation, based on the disciplines of the biotechnological field. The final goal is to acquire knowledge into the biotechnological applications and innovations about the food safety and quality.
