Overview
The Master’s Degree Course in Nutrition Sciences for Human Health (SNSU), Class LM-61, combines skills in the biological, biotechnological, microbiological, and agri-food fields with specific skills deriving from medical sectors that interface with human nutrition problems, including dietary sciences, internal medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, pediatrics, and hygiene.
The course provides solid scientific education on the functional characteristics of the human being and nutrition, the evaluation of the quality of nutrition, related pathological conditions, and the therapeutic role of nutritional interventions.
Knowledge of the most appropriate methodologies for accurately assessing nutritional status and body composition is also of particular importance. Evaluations are essential to outline personalized nutritional protocols aimed at maintaining optimal health conditions and preventing pathologies related to eating habits, but also to address the peculiar needs of individuals who, being in particular phases of life such as childhood, pregnancy, lactation, senescence, or in pathological conditions.
