Overview
The Master’s Degree Course in Natural and Environmental Sciences (LM60&LM75) aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of Nature, in its biotic and abiotic components and in their interactions, with particular reference to human activities and their impact on ecosystems. It aims to provide professional skills aimed both at carrying out a systemic analysis of the natural and anthropized environment and at taking care of the dissemination of scientific topics related to the environment and nature, creating a bridge between academic research and the civil community thus promoting the enhancement of the natural environment in all its components. Special attention will be paid to human activities with the major impact on natural systems as well as to technologies that solve complex environmental problems.

Career opportunities
Expert in Natural and Environmental Sciences (environmental impact assessment, drafting of thematic maps, organization and management of scientific museums, aquariums, botanical gardens and nature parks, naturalistic and environmental dissemination and education). Enrolment in professional registers (after passing the relative State Exams): Order of Agrotechnicians and Graduate Agrotechnicians, Register of Geologists, Register of Agricultural Experts, Section B of the Register of Architects-Planners Section, Section A of the Professional Register of the Order of Biologists (“Environment” sector). Access to teaching in secondary schools, as provided for by current legislation. The course prepares for the professions of: Paleontologists, Planners, landscape architects and specialists in the recovery and conservation and enhancement of the territory, Cartographers and photogrammetrists, Botanists, Zoologists, Ecologists, Museum curators and conservators, Environmental control technicians.
