Overview

The Master’s Degree Course in Biosanitary Scences aims to provide in-depth
skills in the biosanitary field, both in diagnostics and in nutritional
biology. It is organized in two curricula, which differ in specific
training objectives. The diagnostic curriculum offers advanced knowledge on
the biological processes of physio-pathology and on the investigation
methodologies used in the bio-health field as well as on biological-health
controls for preventive purposes. The nutrition curriculum provides
advanced knowledge about the composition, energy supplies and nutritional
quality of foods, their modifications during production processes and due

III training, organized in research doctorates, specialization courses and
masters.
The graduates in BS will be able to enroll (passing the
relevant State Exam) in the Professional Register of Biologist – section A
- with the professional title of biologist, for carrying out codified
activities (ISTAT coding). • Biologists and similar professions – (2.3.1.1.1) • Researchers and technicians graduated in biological sciences – (2.6.2.2.1)

They have career opportunities in various contexts including:
- Universities and other public or private training and research institutions.
- Chemical-clinical, molecular, genetic, histological, and food analysis laboratories.
- Professional activity as a nutritional biologist.
- Service institutions in the health and public hygiene sector.
