Overview
The Master’s Degree Course in Design and Management of Tourism and Cultural Systems responds to the growing demand for in-depth study of economic, management, cultural and legal issues related to tourism as a multidisciplinary phenomenon with a domestic, European and international vocation. It offers an educational pathway suited to the characteristics of this phenomenon, aimed at students who already have a solid socio-economic, linguistic and cultural background and the critical capacity to understand economic, historical, social and territorial processes. Students will be offered analytical tools aimed at strengthening their original preparation and at adapting it to the understanding of the tourism phenomenon together with economic-managerial skills attentive both to the cultural and socio-political dynamics of the phenomenon itself and to its implications in terms of sustainable development. The course also provides planning tools and skills aimed at coping with the strong competition in the tourism sector and the fragmentation of the Italian tourism enterprise. In this sense, students will be able to master the essential technical and legal tools of tourism design. The course aims to train professionals and specialists in economic systems who can take on the role of managers, company executives, administrative managers, consultants in public or private bodies, including international organisations and cultural institutions, operating in various capacities in the tourism and cultural sector.
