Open access course. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. Overview
Lo scopo del Corso di Laurea in Matematica è la formazione di laureati e laureati che hanno le seguenti conoscenze e competenze:
solida conoscenza delle nozioni di base e dei metodi propri dei vari settori della Matematica e in particolare dell’Algebra, dell’Analisi Matematica, della Geometria;
buone conoscenze di Calcolo Numerico, di Calcolo delle Probabilità, di Fisica Matematica, di Fisica Classica;
capacità di comprensione e utilizzare descrizioni e modelli fisico-matematici e numerici nell’ambito della Fisica, delle Scienze Naturali, dell’Ingegneria, dell’Economia e delle Scienze Umane;
adeguate competenze informatiche;
capacità di utilizzare almeno la lingua inglese, oltre l’italiano, nell’ambito specifico di competenza e per lo scambio di informazioni generali;
adeguate competenze e strumenti per la comunicazione e la gestione delle informazioni;
capacità di lavorare in gruppo e di inserirsi prontamente negli ambienti di lavoro.
La conoscenza delle basi matematiche delle applicazioni consente loro di apportare un contributo specifico nell’ambito di gruppi di lavoro indipendenti dalla compresenza di varie figure professionali.
La preparazione delle laureate e dei laureati in Matematica è inoltre una base per successivi approfondimenti nei corsi di laurea magistrale e nei master di primo livello.

Career opportunities
Graduates in Mathematics find employment in banking study centers, in insurance, in research centers, in the telecommunications sector, in the IT sector. They are able to carry out specific technical or professional tasks, for example as mathematical and computational modeling support to activities in industry, finance, services and public administration, or in the field of learning Mathematics or the dissemination of scientific culture. Knowledge of the mathematical bases of applications allows them to make a specific contribution within work groups characterized by the co-presence of various professional figures. The preparation of graduates in Mathematics is also a basis for subsequent in-depth studies in master’s degree courses and first-level master’s degrees.
