Overview
The Bachelor’s Degree Course in Philosophy of the University of Bari aims at the following educational objectives:
• acquisition of a basic knowledge of the history of philosophical and scientific thought and of extensive information on current problems in the various areas of philosophical research;
• acquisition of terminology and methods concerning problem analysis, argumentative methods and approach to texts (also in the original language);
• development of critical tools and research skills;
• ability to make use of bibliographic tools;
• acquisition of a first knowledge of the languages and methodologies of computer science and multimedia communication systems;
• acquisition of preparatory skills for the processing, analysis and communication of traditional and multimedia texts;
• acquisition of preparatory skills for the training of professionals working in the Public Administration and in public and private bodies
• ability to critically analyze and intervene consciously on the theoretical and applicative problems of ethics;

The expert in history
- operates independently in the field of archives, foundations and cultural institutes, contributing to the realization of scientific and research initiatives for the protection of the documentary heritage;
- coordinates the monitoring and evaluation of the services and activities provided by these institutions;
- coordinates communication and promotion activities, as well as the work of those responsible for the conservation of the historical and documentary heritage.
