Entry qualification | High school diploma issued after at least 12 years of documented studies. If the country where the qualification has been obtained requires a test for the academic suitability, you must also present the successful examination (E.g. YKS in Turkey, Selectividad in Spain, Prova de Aferiçao o Prova Geral de Acesso ao Ensino Superior in Portugal, etc.). If the qualification was obtained at the end of a school period of less than 12 years, we invite you to consult Ministerial Provisions for the access of international students with the relevant Attachment 1. This Degree Course is a scheduled access course and has an entry test requirement. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE INDICATED IN THE ANNUAL NOTICE OF THE COURSE. Overview
The course of studies prepares healthcare operators who, upon medical prescription and subsequent testing, carry out the construction and/or adaptation, application, and supply of prostheses, orthoses, and assistive devices that are substitute, corrective, and supportive of the locomotor system, of functional and aesthetic nature, whether mechanical or using external energy or a combination of body and external energy, through direct measurement on the patient of measures and models. Within their competencies, they train the disabled in the use of the applied prostheses and orthoses; they provide technical assistance for the supply, replacement, and repair of the applied prostheses and orthoses, in collaboration with the doctor; they collaborate with other professional figures in the multidisciplinary treatment provided in the rehabilitation plan; they are responsible for the organization, planning, and quality of the professional actions performed within the scope of their duties.
