This Degree Course is a scheduled access course and has an entry test requirement. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE INDICATED IN THE ANNUAL NOTICE OF THE COURSE. Overview
The Bachelor’s Degree Course is a restricted-access program. Admission requires an entrance test, based on the results of which the available places are assigned. The number of places is determined annually by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, considering the actual demands of the job market. Lessons are conducted by professors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery as well as experts from various professional fields. Particular emphasis is placed on practical training and internships, carried out under the supervision of specialized personnel. The Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics aims to train graduates with an adequate understanding of biological and pathological phenomena that can affect health and nutrition. They must be familiar with methodologies for conducting accurate nutritional assessments. Additionally, they should have knowledge of specific and personalized nutritional programs related to various pathologies, patient needs, and public nutritional education. Graduates must also possess the necessary tools to evaluate food quality and its production chain. Graduates in Dietetics are responsible for organizing and coordinating activities related to nutrition in general and dietetics in particular. They collaborate with authorities responsible for ensuring hygiene and health standards in food services. They develop, formulate, and implement diets prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient acceptance. Furthermore, they contribute to the multidisciplinary treatment of eating disorders and plan the organization of food services for both healthy and ill individuals in community settings.
