Overview
The specific educational aims of the course are addressed to provide a basic training in Psychology referred to the different sector of this professional domain, giving students methodological skills and tools useful to act as a practitioner.
The course is also aimed at giving a specialized knowledge in English allowing students to read and to produce texts thus professionalising them at an international level. The course articulates into three years: the first year proposes the study of general psychology, developmental psychology, social and physiologic psychology together with the basis for statistics for social and psychological research and English Language. These study matters will be precious to complete the following two years. In the second- and third-year students will confront themselves with exams addressed to give them methodological and expert knowledge, such as personality psychology, clinical psychology and other exams applying psychology to educational, pedagogical, working contexts. These educational activities contribute to provide students with basic knowledge in different fields of application of psychology and in relation with different targets in the whole life cycle.

Career opportunities
The professional figure trained by the course is psychologist junior without managing skills, since these are reserved to second-level graduates, enrolled to the section A of the professional Register.
If enrolled to the B section Professional Register, Graduates in Sciences and Psychological Techniques are allowed to work as expert in health psychology, in psychological wellbeing and for prevention in different contexts (school, health organizations, private and public bodies).
Graduates in Sciences and Psychological Techniques owe skills in analysis of the psychological issues, of observation, of planning and evaluating interventions, methodological skills applied to psychometric assessment.
Professional opportunities are linked to the ones specified by the ISTAT (National Institute for Statistics).
Professional activities are related to different domains of psychology: education, guidance, organizations, rehabilitation, juridical counselling always in collaboration with other senior psychologists and professionals enrolled to the A section of professional register.
