Overview
Graduates of the Master’s Degree Course in ‘Modern Languages and Literatures’ will have to possess advanced skills in linguistic, literary and philological studies related to two foreign languages (to be chosen among French, English, Spanish and German). They will have to develop knowledge and skills in the field of Italian literature; they will also possess knowledge and skills of a historical, artistic, philosophical and anthropological nature.
To these purposes, an essential contribution is the ability to use the main IT tools in the specific areas of expertise. Training courses in the field of literary translation will guarantee high theoretical and practical skills aimed at the translation of literary and essayistic texts. Graduates can work for the publishing industry as authors of texts in a foreign language; as translators for institutions; as linguistic operators in the field of cultural promotion; as linguistic experts; as teacher trainers for companies and private organisations.
