Overview
The Course of Study in ‘Specialised Translation’ of the University of Bari trains graduates who possess high translation skills in two foreign languages (to be chosen among French, Spanish, English, German, Russian); they will be able to understand specialised written texts in the tourist-cultural, economic, legal, technical-scientific fields, also thanks to the use of IT and telematic aids essential to the translator profession. Graduates can work as specialized translators for sectorial and corporate communication and for paper and multimedia publishing; as experts/consultants in terminology, editing, language technologies; as editors/revisers of technical texts in foreign languages.
Every year, six students who study Spanish as their first language, are given the opportunity to participate in the ‘International Double Degree’ programme with the Universidad de Sevilla: they will be able to attend the second year of the course in Spain and obtain both the Italian degree and the ‘Máster en Traducción e Interculturalidad’.
